'Was a little concerned when we couldn't contact anybody regarding Check In (They had a big wedding going on on the Saturday when I tried to call) - Call returned Sunday Am at about the same time that we went to make sure alll was OK which it was and we even checked in early - result!
Returned later - enjoyed the peaceful ambiance. Only comment would be that room could do with 2 comfortable chairs - especially as it is the "Premium Room" - the hard ones not so good forsitting for any length of...

'Karakteristieke engelse pub. aan de rand van leuk klein sub-dorpje van Lewes. Kamers gemaakt in bijgebouw achter de pub. Grote parkeerplaats voor de auto. Achter de pub een echte Bowls baan ´cracking effort, John´. Personeel is beetje boers, maar vriendelijk bedoeld. Ontbijt is zeer mager, en duurt uren voordat de baas komt om de betselling op te nemen en vervolgens de eitjes te bakken..... Kamers op zich prima, maar geen airco was een beetje warm op de hete zomerdag die wij troffen, '

Comfortably and exquisitely furnished, it is always a pleasure to arrive and occupy the spacious common rooms and assigned bedrooms. As frequently encountered in England, old properties may lack some modern amenities Americans are used to like air conditioning and convenient USB charging ports. Televisions are dated; rooms do not have clocks....

Shout out to the chef, each dish was beautifully presented and so delicious. We enjoyed every course and then took a walk around the gorgeous gardens. Our room (Luke) was spacious, beautifully decorated with views over the gardens and the bed super comfy. Relaxing in the spa and time around the outdoor pool made for a perfect mini break. We hope to return soon! '

We had a great time walking to the local pub and lounging around this luxurious property. Our room was so comfortable and the breakfasts were delicious.
