'Craig and Catherine are wonderful hosts! Apartment is spacious and comfortable with all the amenities. The kitchen provided a small washer/dryer and all necessary appliances. A well stocked bar with an Honesty box was a welcome sight after travel. Great restaurants on Thistle street away from the busy-ness of Royal Mile.'

'The hostel itself was as expected, small but completely as advertised. My concern is their lack of customer service. I was requested to pay upon arrival, which I did assuming their records may be more correct than my memory, however after checking my hotels.com account, I realised my memory was not deceiving me and I had already paid- being no big deal and an easy mistake I spoke to the reception and was told the manager would contact me the following day (after I had checked out). 'We went to Edinburgh for the fringe. The B&B was excellent. Good breakfast and well looked after. Like being part of the family. Close enough to the centre to make it walkable if you are young enough. '
