'The cleaner was listening at our door the morning of checkout. It was 9 am, and checkout isn't until 11. The room wasnt vacumed the previous guest's hair tie was in the middle of the floor. The oceanfront room windows were disgusting. The bed was comfortable, bars in the shower for safety, and the views were phenomenal.'

'Clean, comfortable and affordable room with nice shower! Bri met us with a smile and showed us around the place. We were not able to use the cute fire-pit area or tiki bar due to inclement weather, but I'm sure it's a hit on nice evenings. Coffee and tea are available 24/7 in the main house. Rooms come with a fridge which is great if you go out to eat and have leftovers. Centrally located on the island. '

Staff was very friendly and very accommodating for a last minute decision to stay and unsure if I would need to stay another night due to a road closing and undetermined reopening. The staff tried to help me figure the status of the road closing keeping me from my home. Very kind'

'The hotel is in the middle of renovations, so there’s that. Great location and check in staff was friendly. For the price we paid for an oceanfront room, the room was ok. It had been updated, but there were cigarette ashes on our balcony and hair all over our room floor. The bathroom ceiling had mold. The neighbors that stayed near us Saturday night were obnoxiously loud til 4:30am, but that’s not the hotels fault. '

'The staff was very accommodating in making sure we were happy with our room, even moving us to another room that was non-smoking. the Kitcheonette had a full-sized refrigerator. The beds were very comfortable with blackout curtains. It is a great location, near downtown Manteo and lots of restaurants. An inexpensive place to stay when going to a show at Manteo. '

'The property is convenient to the beach, has plenty of parking, has a gym, pool and laundry room as well. The carpet on the halls smells and s stained and could use a good professional cleaning. Rooms are comfortable and have a kitchenettes. It was nice to have a fridge. Great staff. '
