'Great spot right on the beach'

'We had a pet friendly room. The room was very spacious, updated and clean. You would never know it was pet friendly. Will definitely go back .'

'No problems with checking in - the guy was very nice and helpful. The hotel was only open for three months after being closed for a year and a half for remodeling. We were on the first floor (the elevator was broke, which didn't affect us) away from the lobby and had no noise issues, though we got there later and were getting up earlier. The hotel is right next to the beach with a short walking path through the dune at the corner of the property. Our room was a 2-full bedroom with a sofa bed....

'The location was fabulous. The outdoor pool located directly across the street from the hotel was awesome ! The staff were friendly. The access to the beach was perfect. We loved everything…except the breakfast. Needs: fresh fruit, more healthy options and better quality eggs and sausage. The breakfast was disappointing but overall we loved the hotel and would stay them again and would recommend it to friends.'

'Good location and nice rooms. Bed was comfortable. Beach is walkable and if prepared it is a short walk to a few restaurants. Check in is with a remote kiosk which is interesting but works. Breakfast is very basic.'

'They didn’t change the bedsheets, bed was dirty, water sink was broke, water not passing through, air conditioning not working properly it old fashion ac and it’s making noise all the time, it’s hard to sleep. Parking is so tiny and someone scratched my car. Fridge is not working, they put the coffee machine picture in website but it is not working.'

'The amenities were fantastic. It was nice to be able to walk right into the beach in the morning, spend the afternoon at the pool, and enjoy complimentary popcorn with the kids. The staff was fantastic and very accommodating when we arrived.'

'Fantastic room! Great for couples! Fans and air-conditioning kept the room nice and cool. Shower was amazing. Everything was very clean! Cons- There are no hooks in the bathroom sink area to hang your hand towels. There was only a small square table right next to the toilet, where you could put your items and the hand towels, which was very awkward. The bed was just okay; it was sinking in the middle. 'For the price it’s perfect for a family beach vacation to OBX'

'We had a really pleasant stay at Mia’s Boutique Hotel. We stayed on the side that’s closest to the beach (not the oceanfront ones, as those were already booked). Location is very convenient and the front desk attendant was super friendly. My only piece of feedback is in regards to the bedding. The sheets and covers were too short, they didn’t allow oneself to cover their entire body. Also, the pillows could be upgraded. All in all, I would definitely stay here again!'

'Our kids dubbed this place a “home-tel” and I think that’s fitting. It is kind of like home, but also a hotel. The Beachwoods Resort is a really great spot to vacation with kids while in the Outer Banks. It is a wonderful alternative to a traditional beach house, blending some of the luxuries of a nice hotel with the additional bonus of resort-like amenities.
