'This was our first cottage rental for a family of 10 getaway. Very nice setting and convenient location to nearby activities/stores.The kitchen was well stocked, had everything we needed and the whole cottage provided comfort. ( beds, pillows, furniture)The sandy beach and water depth was perfect for kids. They loved it.After a string of hot days the cottage was extremely hot. Overhead fans in 3 of the bedrooms somewhat helped, but additional portable fans for the master bedroom and living room...

'The host was very responsive! The cottage was stocked to the max with condiments, basics like sugar, oats and flour. Everything worked. No wifi.Beds were comfy. The lake is beautiful. Caught fish right off the dock! Saw 2 pileated woodpeckers next door and there's a loon family on the lake. Fairy lites to guide the path to the dock at night. The weather was cold, windy and wet most of the time while we were there, but we could make a fire in the fireplace and in the outdoor firepit to be cozy...

'Terrible experience. Host never showed and vrbo dropped the ball on making it right. Had to self lodge for three nights of one week vacation. Then vrbo stuck me at some backwoods fishing camp. Still have not recovered refund or costs of self lodging when they assured me that I would receive both. Terrible customer service and overall vacation experience from hell. Never using vrbo ever again.'

'We had a fabulous time here! Checking in, this was the cleanest vacation rental I've ever seen. The place is just like the pictures (if not better). Within an hour, my kids were asking if we can come every year. We used the watercraft (mostly canoe and kayaks), lawn games, and the board games. Plenty to do, nobody was bored, and also plenty of different spaces to hang out in case someone wanted to be alone. The river is perfect for swimming. No weeds, clear water and you can even swim upriver...
