Magische Kauai Cottage op North Shore

Hale Huna ('Hidden House') is een prachtig huisje op een heuvel nabij het 'einde van de weg' op Noord-Kauai. Gelegen op een heuvel en een rustige doodlopende straat met slechts een paar andere lokale huizen. Ons huisje had geen overstromingen of lekken tijdens de overstroming van 2018 op de North Shore. Zeer privé en rustig (het is NIET op / nabij de snelweg zoals veel Kauai-verhuur). Perfect voor een meditatief uitje of een huwelijksreis. Genezend en rustgevend.

Prachtig uitzicht op groene bergen vanuit de achtertuin. Weelderig plantenleven, inclusief mango, banaan, grapefruit, guave, papaja en lindebomen. Buitendouche beschut door tropisch gebladerte. Dit is een klein maar charmant en smaakvol ingericht huisje in plantagestijl met het gevoel van 'echt' Hawaii. Binnen vijf minuten rijden van prachtige zandstranden, ongelooflijk snorkelen bij Tunnels, Ke'e en Lumahai stranden en surf van wereldklasse in Hanalei Bay.

De dichtstbijzijnde stad is het charmante Hanalei, dat restaurants, een supermarkt, een natuurvoedingswinkel, winkels, bars en meer heeft. Hanalei Bay is beroemd om zijn grote halve maan strand, winter surfen en kalme zomer wateren. De prachtige kust van Na Pali ligt op slechts enkele minuten afstand (de bergen vanuit de achtertuin zijn de achterkant van de Pali's / bergen).

De noordkust van Kauai staat bekend om zijn weelderige, tropische, regenwoudachtige klimaat en vegetatie en rustige levensstijl. Het is een fantastische plek om te ontspannen, lezen, zwemmen, wandelen, surfen, snorkelen, verse vis eten en mijn favoriet, gewoon op het strand wandelen op zoek naar schelpen.

A dream

We were absolutely in love with this home. We stayed for a week in April. Very quiet neighborhood, walking distance to a small market and a coffee shop, not walking distance to any beaches but a short drive from Tunnels beach and probably 15 minutes from Hanalei. The owner provided so many recommendations. The whole stay was a dream.

Great little house on a quiet street

The property, the owner , and the manager were all wonderful. The cottage was amazing and comfortable. However I lost two nights sleep due to a barking pack of dogs. They were down slope and the noise traveled up to us. The property manager was quick to get back to us and the noise was reduced for the rest of the stay.

Hidden gem on the north shore

We were incredibly impressed with the cottage from the moment we walked in the door. It was bright, beautifully decorated, sparkling clean and perfectly outfitted. We cooked almost all of our meals at the house and everything was thought of. All of the rooms were so comfortable and our kids loved that they got their own room. The cottage is nestled in one of the gorgeously green little valleys, only minutes from the beach, and you can walk down to the market for all kinds of goodies (plenty of staples and local steaks). The kids had a blast picking fruit from the yard! The yard itself was so lush and well kept. It was absolutely perfect. A huge thank you to our hosts for being so flexible and very easy to communicate with. We would love to stay again in the future.

Paradisiac Home in Kauai

The house is gorgeous, in a wonderful and peaceful zone. The atmosphere of the house is very pleasant, with carefully chosen beautiful furniture that makes the stay relaxing and extremely enjoyable. The house is fully equipped with everything you need, spotlessly clean, and meticulously maintained in every detail. Its proximity to Hanalei and the island's most beautiful beaches makes it perfect for enjoying the island's magnificent nature. We had a wonderful holiday!

Amazing

Absolutely prefect north shore cottage. Located just up the road from the local general store, coffee shop and shaved ice. If you are trying to get away from the resort atmosphere this is the spot for you. Quiet and mellow place to spend your days relaxing in Kauai. Minutes from the beaches and Hanalei.

Perfect stay on the north shore

What a wonderful property! The house is beautiful, well equipped and lovingly looked after. Me, my wife and our three children loved staying. It's a great location for travelling the north shore. We enjoyed the Na Pali trail, Hanalei and snorkeling on the beaches. Communication was great. Thank you very much.

Oh my Gosh, we absolutely loved the Magical Kauai Cottage. From the location, to the style and design of the home, the energy of the space, the comfort of the beds, the kitchen, the outdoor shower, and the stunning backyard. Amazing Stay at Quiet, Beautiful Cottage!

My wife and I spent a wonderful week at this cottage for our honeymoon. We had done our research and reviewed this listing carefully, but walking up to the cottage and opening the door took our breath away. While the cottage is older, it is in exquisite condition, and the owners have gone above and beyond to make it feel like home. The house is very clean, the beds are very comfortable , and the kitchen is fully stocked. We enjoyed eating our meals at the outside table. I would stay here again and again. 11/10 stars.

Wonderful Wainiha Cottage

This is a lovely cottage in a residential area of Wainiha on the north shore, about 15 minutes past Hanalei. A family of 4, we stayed here for a week over spring break and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property is lush and beautiful and the cottage is clean, and comfortable with 3 bedrooms, a full kitchen, laundry, and an outdoor patio. Beach towels, folding chairs, and snorkel gear provided was a welcome touch. There are no safe beaches within walking distance but it's only a short drive to some of the nicest beaches on Kauai including Tunnels Beach, Ke-e Beach, and Hanalei Bay. Lots of shopping and restaurants in Hanalei as well. Host was responsive, provided great directions (it's a little off the beaten path) and lots of recommendations for things to do in the area. This is a very different experience to staying in a resort and highly recommended for an authentic and relaxing Kauai vacation.

Beautiful property

Very clean and beautiful home and yard. Pictures do not give it justice. We are not resort people and this fit our needs perfectly. Note: the directions the owner gives may be a little intimidating but just follow google - it took us right to the home.

Hanalei Bungalow Retreat

What a beautiful place!! We had an amazing stay. The home is perfect, right down the road from the beach and from the little village with great food!! It was so great to come back to this quiet little home at the end of the day exploring. Coffee in the morning on the back patio with the mountains right there…perfection! Hale Huna was a lovely place. It was totally comfortable, and was the most thoughtfully equipped vacation rental I’ve experienced. My daughter and I enjoyed beautiful Kauai from what felt like all the comforts of home. A very special place.

Magical, peaceful cottage close to beautiful beaches, hiking & Hanalei

We absolutely loved Kristi’s cottage. Retreating to her peaceful sanctuary was just what we needed! Property manager, Kris, was awesome and super helpful. We loved playing board games, cooking fresh fish outside on the little grill, and the use of the beach chairs and surfboard/boogie board were big hits with our kids. The impeccable tropical landscaping is filled with orchids, hibiscus, fresh fruits & sweet Cocoa, the dog next door! The windows open in the evenings made for a perfect and cool rest at night. Aloha and mahalo for a most wonderful stay! We would love to return one day!
