'I love the TRU by Hilton chain! The hotels are fresh and looking modern and young. They’re clean and are also focused on younger people who do remote working. I always book a hotel from that chain and the one in Ashland was no exception. Breakfast is typically US, so not the best but super bad either.'

'Great place to stay after a long day at Kings Dominion! Place was nice, clean, quiet! Front desk staff and housekeepers were all very nice and friendly! Breakfast was great and the lady stocking the breakfast was very nice and helpful! Will 100% stay again! Such a nice property tucked off the main road!'

'Bathroom was nasty! The paper towel holder was broke from the wall, the vent in the ceiling was tore completely out! Their toilet felt like it was broke completely off the floor! There was a roach in the bathroom! All of that was in 153 I have pics! I rented three rooms and one had a dirty sock in it the other had a pair of men’s shoes left in it! I will never stay there again!'

'The hotel was very dirty and was not kept well on the outside. There was garbage everywhere. There was bugs. The bolt on the door didn’t work. The toilet ran very loud all night.'

'Free parking, free minimal breakfast, okay small pool, The only issue i really had about here was that 1) they dont move bed frames and it is filthy there. 2) the room next to us was VERY LOUD. They normally have a signage saying 10pm to 7 am quiet time but the room near me was loud till 1 am.. so i kept waking up. I dont know if they were on the phone or talking to someone who they came with. But was really loud. I was too tired to even call front desk. Everything overall looks clean and...

'Hotel is old and beat. We thought having Hilton associates with it meant it was elevated. Worn carpet very basic bathroom. A step above Ramada Inn. Would not return, unless major renovations are done.'

'The beds and pillows were comfortable, the room was dirty and had bugs. The first night the lady at the front desk was amazing but the next couple of days had different staff members and they were ok, not very helpful. Each day I had to go to the office to get my room key fixed because it wouldn’t work. We couldn’t watch TV because it didn’t work and the staff was unable to fix it. We had a non smoking room but always smelled like cigarettes and weed. Wouldn’t stay here again!'

'Stayed for 2 nights. Room was clean and comfortable. Was pleasantly surprised to see that our room had been serviced while out for a day at the theme park. Since covid this is rare. Breakfast was good. Would recommend this hotel.'

'Het positive aan dit hotel is dat het aan de overkant van de straat ligt van pretpark Kings Dominion. Verder was het een wat kleine kamer. De kamer was vies en er hing een vreemde geur in het hotel. Met vies bedoel ik dat de oude contactlenzen van de vorige gast nog op de vloer lagen. Ook vonden we oude bier dopjes en zaten er vlekken op de vloer. Daarnaast waren de kamers erg gehorig en konden zowel de mensen naast ons als boven ons horen. '

'Good; clean room, hot shower, cold ac, free ice, vending machines, VERY well maintained breakfast facility, helpful staff, good parking. Bad; pool not clean. Multiple family were disappointed. Some tried to clean the pool. I stayed there on my way up to NYC and booked again for the trip down because of the breakfast. Waffle maker was a big hit for us. Good variety of choices.'

'We found a bed bug in our room. Sheena was very attentive and moved us but the other lady was very rude and could have cared less.'

'Avoid at all costs. The photos of the room I have seen prior to booking were all a complete lie. The room was dirty, there were bugs popping up frequently, the floorboards were not fully leveled, and there were multiple holes and cracks in the walls. No appliances for food either and the wifi is terrible. There was also no smoke alarm which I believe is a serious violation. You're better off paying a few more bucks for somewhere else nearby, especially if you are there for Kings Dominion.'

'General ok place to stay. However small rooms, can be noisy if other guest stay out long. And gap between door and floor is big. So expect crawling friends.'

'It’s poorly maintained. The photos are not exactly what you get (we missed a table). Cleaning supplies smell is everywhere. The sheet had strains. Breakfast was said to be just a muffin, coffee and juice before 9am (I decided to skip). Really find a better place'

'We had a terrible night. First, the air conditioning didn't work. We asked for help, but the staff member told us that was just how it was and that there were no other rooms available. She then brought out two dirty fans that looked like they belonged in the Paleolithic era. We told her we wanted a refund, and—as if by magic—a room suddenly became available.
