'I had a great one-night stay at the Whitehall. The room was well-appointed and very comfortable. The hotel is run by Sotherly and they had some nice touches - lemon cookies in the room, a veteran-focused foundation that they make you aware of, etc. The 1st floor bar, with an outside space, looked awesome. I just didn't have time to visit. The location is fine - a little on the outer edge of that side of downtown. I was close to my venue, so it was perfect for me. The only thing to note...

'So much is right here, from decor to food to personnel, so that it was hard to understand why such a hotel is stillstuck in the Holiday-Inn past with its ac system blasting cold air in noisily. I want quiet so that I can sleep, I do not want a draft and I do not want a cold room, not in the least because this destroys the planet.'

'Love the place! It's pleasantly clean and spacious, and offers many amenities. The staff is super helpful and they know their jobs very well! The price is so good with such a place! The room looks exactly like the picture. It is just 10-minute walk from the nearest bus stop and around 17 minute drive from downtown. To the manager and staff, keep up the good work! '

'Had stayed at this location many times before. This time was under new ownership. Pleasantly surprised to find minimal changes in presentation and managing. The location is near several restaurants and shopping areas we like to visit, walking distance. Look forward to staying here again soon.'

'We’ve been traveling lately with our two dogs and to keep from spending over $200/nt we’ve been staying in pet friendly budget hotels. This hotel was probably the best budget hotel we’ve ever stayed. We had a problem in our first room with a slight smell but they were very accommodating in moving us with no question. The room was very clean and comfortable and we liked that there were hard floors. Pretty decent free breakfast too'

'Near a Kroger Walgreens restaurants at walking distance and near by parks to take kids if you have any. It was excellent 👍 no construction while we were there April 28. Front staff was accommodating and hears one out! Breakfast space was very decorated and food was an okay variety. Will come back again when in Houston '
