'We stayed at this property for our 40th wedding anniversary. The stay exceeded our expectations. Aaron, the very nice gentleman who was managing the property, went out of his way to acquire a few items for my wife that she just mentioned in a casual conversation. That impressed us a LOT! Thanks again Aaron! Breakfast was excellent. We will absolutely stay here again the next time we travel to Galveston. '

'Highly recommend this very cool option when staying in Galveston. Unlike anything else, it's an exciting change of pace to for an overnight stay. The railcar is super clean and looks recently refurbished. The staff was over-the-top in efforts to assure we had everything we needed. We stayed during Railfest but any time is a good time for this property. We will definitely be back.'

'What a fantastic weekend get-a-way! Celebrating a 5th grade promotion, a 53yr anniversary and an 18yr anniversary, this was perfect for our family! David was so kind and helpful. Chris was a huge help and Andrew did a great job sharing information. Core memories made. The train was comfortable and so stinkin cool. What a unique way to celebrate and spend time with family. 'Nice and roomy. Seems to have been updated. Parking on street only. Neighborhood not anywhere near new but it was chosen because of the proximity to battleship Texas. It’s also close to Katie’s seafood restaurant. '

'Our stay at Harborwalk Lodge was fantastic. It’s off the beaten path but close enough to Galveston where the drive is nominal. The breakfast was delicious, the room was great, and the owners are a joy. 10/10 would stay there again.'

'Wij hebben twee dagen Maple Creek geboekt om op adem te komen na de vlucht vanuit Nederland en als uitvalsbasis voor bezoek aan Houston. Kamer die wij hadden was super (honeymoon). Als uitvalsbasis voor Houston zou ik Maple creek niet meer kiezen. Afstand is vrij groot. Kom je voor je rust dan is dit verblijf prima. Persoonlijk vind ik het ontbijt mager.'

'Beautiful and well kept historic home! The owner and chef were extremely courteous and welcoming...we couldn’t have felt more welcome! The room and common areas were clean and the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and I only regret that we couldn’t finish the generous portions. Would definitely reccomend!'
