'Room was horribly filthy from top to bottom. Poor water pressure with dirt and rust forming around drains.'

'This is a basic, no-frills old property that has aged well. The rooms are plain, and nothing but coffee in the office for breakfast. I am a traveler who looks for a clean place to sleep and shower; the frills don't matter. This fits the bill for someone who would rather spend their money on other things than frills in a room they will sleep in and be gone from in 12 hours. In cities, cheap hotels attract an element to stay away from, but that type is not touring the back roads of West Virginia.'

'Have to climb 3 fli g it's of stairs with luggage. No elevator. Cant hook Playstation or any console up to the TV. Breakfast only hot thing is pancakes. Was a good stay over all though. Schlitterbahn & moody gardens are basically on same street next to the hotel.'

'Nice to be by the lake and enjoy the balcony with a view. Beds were comfortable, room was clean, good shower pressure…the hotel holy trinity. Updated interior was cosmetically nice and clearly done on a budget, which is ok. But to nitpick, kitchenette cabinetry was way out of square, and not all drawers and cabinets in our room closed completely. A full size ironing board would have been nice. I appreciated the virtual check in. Email instructions were accurate and helpful. The only person...
