'Loved it, felt like a real local. Washer was a plus and included detergent! Fast responses and overall a great stay :) 9.8/10 a little bit dusty specifically the top of air conditioner but hey, it’s an older place, it was expected and part of the vibe. Recommend if you want to stay in a more traditional place hence the name of the place. '

'Wonderful place to stay, we loved that the area was in a real neighborhood and not touristy. The only complaint is the main bedroom faces a an alley that has a motion activated light that shines bright on and off all night while you are trying to sleep. Dark shade would help this situation. '

'Ein typisches altes japanisches Haus mit tollem Flair. Sehr gut ausgestattete Küche, täglich frisches Wasser und Handtücher. Wir haben uns zu sechst sehr wohl gefühlt, die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter hat auch sehr gut geklappt. Die Strasse war beim ersten Mal nicht ganz einfach zu finden, auch der Taxifahrer hat sich schwer getan. Ich kann die Unterkunft für eine größere Gruppe/ Familie aber nur weiterempfehlen! '

'This was the perfect place to stay in Kyoto. There was the cutest bakery three doors down that had the best pastry and bread. Close to convenience stores and a grocery store. Close to bus stops and the castle! The location can’t be beat. The space was clean and spacious. Although I would suggest that the space is more conducive to those not worried about privacy and noise as the space is quite open. Overall I give this place a 10 out of 10! '

'Tradition ancient Kyoto-style house in great location. Parking space right outside the house. Spacious living room and bedroom. Well equipped kitchen with tableware, cookware and seasonings. Narrow and slanting staircase to 2F so must be very careful when walking up and down.'

'This charming inn is an excellent accommodation for families. With two bedrooms, our family of five enjoyed a comfortable and spacious stay. The only minor inconvenience was the lack of a second-floor bathroom, which meant we needed to descend to the ground floor each time we required restroom facilities. Despite this small drawback, the inn was otherwise exceptional and met all our needs perfectly.'

'Alles war perfekt, es ist ein wunderschönes traditionell japanisches Haus aber keines wegs altmodisch, im gegenteil sehr Modern, jeder Raum ist Klimatisiert und alle ist gut durchdacht. Einziger Negativpunkt ist der Check in, wir standen 20 Minuten vor der verschlossenen Tür weil wir den Code nicht bekommen haben und dann musste die Kyoto steuer erst noch bezahlt werden.'

'The small house was perfect for us (4 adults and one child) to go around Kyoto. There is a big supermarket and several restaurants in walking distance and a playground 20m away (you don’t hear the playground). Beside the local tax link not working, everything went very smooth!'

Good and new hotel

"We have a room with a little bit more space then the room of our friends at the same floor. The hotel is quite new. There are enough USB charging points in the room. Unfortunately the USB at my bed side was not working. The breakfast is quite good, Enough Japanese and western food to choose. Location is good, 1 stop from Kyoto train station and walking distance to the center"

"Het was een fijn hotel om in te mogen verblijven. De kamers hebben een goede afmeting en de badkamer was fijn in gebruik. In Kyoto is er beperkt vervoer, hou goed rekening mee met wat je wilt zien. Sommige bezienswaardigheden zijn 2 uur met de bus "

Een hotel dicht bij Kyoto station.

"Een hotel dichtbij het station. Kamers voor het oog schoon maar bij het openen van de kast dwarrelde het stof naar beneden. In 1 kamer werkte de airco niet goed maar een kamerwisseling was niet mogelijk. Voor het zwembad en de fitness moet je extra betalen."
