'The property is lovely, and the couple running it are terrific. Nancy is all energy, information and zest, and her great husband is a kind soul is a pleasure to be around. We were going to stay in downtown Lancaster, thinking that it would give us a taste of Amish country. 'Amazing hosts, great old house. If you're looking for a luxury hotel experience, this isn't the place. This is authentic, personal, and amazing. Chris and Erica are terrific! They serve an amazing breakfast then sit and actually talk with their guests! So inviting and friendly, just an awesome experience.'

'Brownstone Colloniall Inn is a bed and Breakfast accomodation. With good bedrooms and a room downstairs for common use Kind and friendly hosting, good breakfast - with a prayer as a starter. But that is a respectfull part of a good converstation! On the countryside of Reinholds, near Middle Creek Wildlife park. Lots of deer !'

Not that I anticipated poor accommodations, but I was pleasantly surprised by the cozy suite and the kind, courteous staff. Also, the dinner Saturday evening was very good. 'We really enjoyed our stay here! The owner was so thoughtful about providing everything one could need. The 2 beds were comfortable and there were plenty of pillows. She left us food for a quick breakfast (cereal, muffins, etc). It was all really good. We also enjoyed visiting the little goat to feed him crackers! The location was rural, but close to everything. Would definitely stay there again! Thank you!'

'My wife and I were so happy with our hostess that we decided to stay another night. Every morning, we had a three-course meal, and it was delicious. After telling Kimberly that we were leaving early one morning she made sure we had it early enough so we could make our appointment. The rooms were always comfortable, and the bed was nice as well. Kimberly made sure we had everything we needed including extra towels and anything else that we asked for. '

"We arrived less than an hour before the official check-in. With all our luggage. The room was not ready, ok. But we could not leave our luggage behind for the remaining 45 minutes. So everything back in the car… Breakfast offers enough options and is fine. Dinner and shopping options at the doorstep, very convinient. Clean room. We got a room facing Hwy 30, which turned out to be quote noisy. A large a/c or generator grille next to the window did the rest. Off course we could have asked for another room, but when you already have settled after a long day travel, not so fine. So all together, we think it is over-rated and overpriced. Not a bad hotel, but room for improvement. "
