'Except staff , everything is average'

'Breakfast was good, and the staff were generally friendly. However, my experience with housekeeping was disappointing. While my room was being serviced the day before checkout, there were a couple of tags and some paper that my children had left on the floor. The housekeeper asked me to pick them up because she said she had “broken her back.” While I understand physical limitations, I found the interaction unprofessional and unexpected during a room service cleaning'

'Holiday Inn express is my go to when I can’t find a Hampton Inn. This particular one in Milton is a handy location and has everything you need so there’s no complaints. My only issue is that I asked for the quietest room possible and we were on the side of the hotel where I guess the air-conditioning is running all night and it was actually a little loud, so that did not make for a restful sleep. Also, the sun comes up on that side of the building, and our window shade did not completely cover...

'Way overpriced; C$ 221.20 for a room without airconditioning. Temp in room reached 26 degrees Celsius. Then while taking a shower I noticed the small shampoo and shower gel were used and almost empty. Sad but true. At check-in the receptionist had a hard time counting the (partly) cash I paid with. Also a hard time to deduct the cash from the invoice and charge the rest to my MasterCards. The hotel itself has its charmes but is way overpriced. Guess it’s the new reality. '
