'Jewelry box was stolen while we were attending friends wedding. The first time it happened in 45+ years of traveling. The hotel doesn't provide safes. The staff refused to help with anything. The manager just gave us a report and when we asked for specifics of the next steps he said that they can't do anything. The location of the hotel is in the area with lots of homeless people. We stayed 4 nights and one of the nights the access to the hotel was blocked by the police dealing with...

'We’ve had an excellent stay, very walkable to Old Town San Diego, good restaurants in the direct area. The pool is a bit small though, San Diego zoo and the SS Midway are very close. The staff is very friendly and very nice and helpful, they give you great tips of the area. We stayed in a room facing away from the freeway, and slept with the windows open, no disturbing noises.'
