'Beautiful, old building set in lovely gardens. There was a lot of open space and the accommodation was well spread out. It was nice to have a terrace to sit and enjoy a coffee. The Spa was very nice but I can imagine it gets very busy at certain times of the day.

'We couldn't fault the service, nothing was too much trouble. We had supper in the pub and the food was delicious, so much so that we couldn't manage a full breakfast the next day which was a pity. We will certainly be staying at the Montagu Arms again. The location was perfect'

'Stunning hotel. Our room was spacious and clean. Housekeeping had left a little note by the bed, hope they liked their note when we left! Breakfast was amazing, great selection of food. Gardens were beautiful and having the walks across the road topped it off. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Kostas is a credit to you, amongst a few others, unfortunately didn't get their names. We will be back.'

The chocolate bars were a welcome addition to our room and the offer of fresh milk a bonus. Free bottled water also a nice extra especially given how warm the weekend has been. Decent bathroom with lovely products that you can also purchase. I didn't eat in the restaurant but that was for no reason other than wanting to...

To call this a Restuarant with rooms is an insult to the concept. It was not even up to a gastro pub standard. when I asked which cheese was an the cheeseboard I was told " a white one, a blue one and cheddar!

"The accomodation was booked with breakfast, but they don’t have breakfast only a breakfast box!! The room was very dirty, they never clean it during your stay. I would not recommend it to anybody."

"Heel erg fijn hotel. Ligging geweldig, parkeren heel goedkoop in garage. Veel winkels en op loopafstand van de Historic Dockyards. Goede restaurants om de hoek.
Twee kleine minpuntjes: ondanks een heerlijke douche, is die wel toe aan een nieuwe kitrand en de bedden zijn aan de smalle kant (maar slapen lekker)."

Het ontbijt was prima, niet uitzonderlijk, maar gewoon goed. Er was altijd plek om lekker te zitten. De bedden vonden we wat aan de zachte kant en het was redelijk warm in de kamer. Een raam openen gaf dan wel weer wat verkeersgeluiden, maar al met al prima voor een weekendje weg om als uitvalsbasis te fungeren om in de omgeving dingen te gaan bekijken. Een kwartier lopen naar het treinstation, maar neem vooral een Bolt taxi: amper duurder en veel sneller!!"
