The food was Excellent - better than the Michelin * restuarants I have been to recently in London and Venice. The grounds are spectacular - all 66 acres of them and its worth visiting just for this alone.
The bedrooms are very nice and confortable. We had an Orangery suite which has Aircon. The Main house rooms do not.

Our room was on the backside, you have to pass a trash area and an ugly fence to get there, feels like you are put behind in a shed somewhere. The stairs up to the room were dirty and worn out. Everything is brand new, good airconditioning, comfortable bed, big tv and powerfull shower. "The accomodation was booked with breakfast, but they don’t have breakfast only a breakfast box!! The room was very dirty, they never clean it during your stay. I would not recommend it to anybody."

Een raam openen gaf dan wel weer wat verkeersgeluiden, maar al met al prima voor een weekendje weg om als uitvalsbasis te fungeren om in de omgeving dingen te gaan bekijken. Een kwartier lopen naar het treinstation, maar neem vooral een Bolt taxi: amper duurder en veel sneller!!"
