It’s an ideal 'in-and-out' base if you just need a straightforward place to sleep without any faff. We didn’t try the restaurant/cafe, so I can’t comment.'

'As expected the rooms are quite small if you have big luggages to open you need to make room had to move some furniture to give way but rooms are as pictured clean and neat. We stayed for 6 days the ease of having a kitchen and laundry is very convenient. Overall satisfied with our stay.'

'All was good except for the fact that the place has no elevator and we were given the 3rd floor for 4 people with 4 heavy large luggages. We ended up having to carry some of the luggage contents by pieces up 3 flights of stairs multiple times both at check in and out.'

'My party's stay at Hotel Resol Ueno was great! We stayed for 7 nights, and on the 4th day they did a thorough cleaning of the rooms, otherwise every day our towels, trash, and waters got replaced. This worked for us as that was mainly what we wanted restocked daily anyway. The rooms are small compared to western hotels, but luckily the beds had ample space underneath to store luggage. 'For our first visit to Japan on a girls trip, 3 of us. This hotel exceeded my expectations. The room was large and we were able to layout full sized luggage’s. Bed and pillows were comfortable and we all had good rest each night we loved that there was a washer and dryer in the room which was wonderful. The dryer did take a very long time to dry.
