'Lodge Room quiet and sheets were clean but room worn with water stain in lamp shade. Elevator brass and woodwork needed polishing and dusting. Carpet dirty and worn. Crusty mineral build up around faucets. On the CW property but in the back 40 for lodge rooms. Food tasty in Barley Tea for dinner. Good coffee cafe in the am. Breakfast in Traditions has a decent breakfast.'

'The hosts were very communicative and welcoming before, during, and after our stay. The front yard was well lit, and good for taking our pups out at night. I was grateful to find somewhere available over Christmas that accepted two dogs. The kitchen was well-equipped and reasonably clean. This is a pet-friendy rental near the beach, the overall cleanliness of the unit was perhaps reflective of that. The house is right off of a busy road in a neighborhood with varied levels of upkeep.'

'The host being non responsive! Got there late (9)due to traveling delays. Had address and code, opened the door to be greeted by a large dog and man. That was not happy we opened his door. Messaged host waited 30 minutes and had to have driver take us to a hotel. More expenses. Got response 30 minutes after checking into hotel. 'Lovely view of river and the woods. Marina has nice view of river and tasty food. Also like that it’s close to Jamestown and Downtown Williamsburg.'

'The location is both a blessing and a curse. Easy (ish) walk to the beach for mobile folks. Families with small children or folks that are less mobile may struggle. Tons of amazing food and drink options (for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or late nights) are within a block. But, that does run the risk of noise for anyone wanting to get in bed early or are light sleepers. The house is sandwiched between a late night eatery and a microbrew.
