'I’ve been staying at the Waterside for over 30 years. While it is not the most luxurious, the rooms are spacious and the view from every room is spectacular. That’s what continues to bring me back. I appreciate it is family owned and there are still familiar faces. Thanks for many memories.'

The receptionist was also not helpful when I raised the issue. On top of that, the room was completely different from what was recommended and shown during booking. 'Near the beach, friendly staff. Problems were solved (sometimes after a reminder). Quality of the breakfast was good. Room was definitely dated. Although clean not in depth. Closer doors were very tired, safe was unresponsive (solved), roaches in the kitchenette (solved), bathroom door stuck and scraped. Staff at the front desk very friendly.'

'My husband, my mother and I stayed in two rooms for the homecoming of my son on the USS Gerald Ford. We were very disappointed that the rooms did not have a coffee maker OR a microwave. They also did not have any dresser or night stands with drawers to store clothes. This was definitely like staying in a dorm room.
