'We loved our stay there. The family that owns it now is so kind and friendly. They’ve worked so hard on the place and it shows. The pool and hot tub were awesome and the outdoor area is so cute. The rooms were nicely redone as well. Only thing is to beware if you have dog allergies. Dogs are allowed and I think the dander is not easily removed from the rooms so that was a little rough since one of us was allergic to dogs. Other than that- I highly recommend. '

'Unique lodging experience overlooking the Black River. Very nice room. Excellent staff service. In the midst of the historic district with lots of restaurants and shopping in easy walking distance. Only issues: next to an outside bar that plays music until midnight (at least on weekends). Blinds do not keep out the light very well. No dedicated parking. '

'I came back to stay at the Wickwood Inn twenty years after I had last stayed here. It was lovely then, but I feared it might have gotten dated by now. No need to worry! They did a complete renovation of the inn. Still the beautiful antique-filled luxuriously plush rooms, but updated to a more muted and understated color palette befitting the current design aesthetic. The exquisite marble-clad bathroom was a particular delightThere is still no other place in town that holds a candle to this. '
