'My husband and I loved staying at the beautiful Kernville Ranch. We loved the quiet and the scenic beauty. I loved that the cottage was pet friendly and our dog had the time of her life seeing the amazing horses at the ranch. The community is amazing for hiking and outdoor adventures. We enjoyed hiking at a nearby trail. The location is perfect for a restorative getaway. '

'Our family trip to this wonderful ranch consisted of 4 Adults, 2 Young Adults and one Teenager. Across the board we all enjoyed the property immensely!! From hanging out in the water meadow, walking to the river, exploring the barn, ineracting with friendly horses, camping out on the property to visiting the town for a local brew. Amelia, was wonderful to communicate with and was always avaliable if I had a question. Our favorite part of this historic place is the character and charm it has held...

'The stay was great. Alisha was very responsive after some technical difficulties, but it was not a big deal. The property was cozy & very inviting with plenty of amenities to make the stay fun and relaxing! Would definitely book again whenever it's available. 'This beautiful home sits right on the river and the outdoor landscape is beautifully done. Loved lounging by the river watching rafters go by while my husband fly fished down below. We stayed on the bottom part of the house called River’s Edge. Perfect for a couple’s retreat away. Rod and Carol were so accommodating and you can tell they put a lot of pride into their home. Excited to rent the whole house and do a couples trip with our friends soon.'

'One of the most beautiful we’ve stayed in, really showcases the mighty Kern river and the glorious backdrop that is the Kern River Valley. You have everything you need, the decor is very cool with a 40’s cabin/Mid Century Modern feel and hosts are so gracious. I would highly recommend The Kern River House!'

'Me and my family had a lot of fun during our stay I lived that I could bring my dog and right up the street take off walking in the mountains. My kids enjoyed the hot tub and it was just a short drive to take the grandkids to the park and then do some shopping. .'

'Overall a good place to stay! Clean, modern and comfortable! An issue with the thermostat was being taken care of when we arrived, and took a few hours to fix, but Linda was super nice about it and we had no problems after that! We'd stay there again!'
