'Staff were really friendly and helpful. Place was clean and our room was spacious. Breakfast was simple and we were well catered for. We were able to park on the morning of check-in, so we could go for a wander and then check-in later. Hotel is an easy 15 minute walk from Ambleside and it's various amenities.'

'Check in was easy we were greeted and shown to our room, parking on site is always a bonus. The house is spotlessly clean and stylishly decorated. The room albeit small was comfortable and had everything we required. Breakfast was served in a comfortable dining room and as we had ordered. My vegan breakfast was lovely. 'The house is in a beautiful location and we were greeted by Alfie. We were made welcome from the very beginning and looked after well. Our twin room was perfect with amazing views. We were recommended a walk to the lake and took a picnic, beautiful scenery and incredibly relaxing. A must do! We were provided with a delicious cooked breakfast and fresh bread. We will absolutely be visiting again and we wished we’d stayed longer than 1 night. '
