'We stayed here for our mini-moon, it was perfection from start to finish. They upgraded our room to a hot tub suite which was stunning. All the amenities were beautiful and the spa was very special Would highly recommend'

'Badly needs bringing into the 21st century. No air conditioning in the rooms, and basic TVs with only Freeview. Need to change to smart TV or at least be able to Chromecast. Rooms are not cleaned by housekeeping unless you ask and when i did on 1 occasion they still didn't do it. I reminded them on reception after waiting 6 hours but still never turned up. In the end i knocked on housekeeping door to get fresh towels myself! Cooked breakfast was nice but very limited options for continental....

'We were surprised to find out that the parking was not guaranteed and limited, once we had paid on-line. However, we got there early and did secure a space. Excellent location in the heart of Grasmere. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was good.'
