The arrival was fine, the hotel room was clean and tidy, ready for our stay. However, this satisfying feeling only stayed until four o’clock in the middle of the night. The fire alarm went off and when we went downstairs to ask what was going on, the receptionist first denied that there even was a fire alarm, only later on informing us that another guest had a shower which caused the fire alarm to go off. The morning after we weren’t asked whether we had slept well, nor did they offer their apologies for the inconvenience. The second night, again, the fire alarm went off. Another broken night. The morning after we complained again and expressed our annoyance to which the female receptionist responded that the hotel couldn’t do anything about it and that they’re not the one to blame. We didn’t expect any allocation, but apologies and honesty would surely have been appreciated. Next time we’ll find another place to stay. Wouldn’t it have been for the way we have been treated, we would have left a more positive review.
