'We had a wonderful time at this ryokan. We chose this inn specifically for its remote location and traditional atmosphere and were not disappointed. The hotel, outdoor onsen, and woodsy surroundings were all excellent. The building is old and reminded me of the railroad lodges of the western United States: creaky old doors and floors, metal keys, and rotary dial phones. 'Hotel is near to train station, very practical. We arrived before check-in time and intended to leave our luggage. However, our room was already available. The room was (as all hotel rooms in Japan) small. The mattress had seen better days and was uncomfortable. The entire hotel is a bit dated, however it suited our needs just fine. Staff were friendly and efficient. '

'Excellent stay. It was our first time using an Onsen and we had a good time using the baths after a long day. The room is clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and kind and gave us a ride to the station after we checked out. The location is close to the main sites. Would highly recommended this hotel. '
