'We only had a very short stay but found the property to be a beautiful old farmhouse with fantastic old features, lovely open fire with plenty of logs and character. Old worn stairs, exposed wooden beams and not a right angle in the place ! Nice and quiet and well out the way. Doggy was very welcome as well.'

'Great property, and location. House has everything you could need (including a newly added washer and dryer - and not a combination one). Lisa, the owner, is very responsive answering all our questions almost immediately. Bed options and en-suite are great and the play room/lounge upstairs is great for keeping youngsters occupied. Location by high street and train station are ideal and a short walk to the sea. Only marked down the cleanliness one star because some lighter carpets in the property...

'We had a great time at this property. The five properties gave us space to be together and still have our own space to retreat to when needed. It was a very wet weekend in Wales but we made the most of it. The Pool and Grove cottages and The Gallery were a bit tricky to keep warm as you needed to keep the log burners going and use electric heaters upstairs. 'The photographs of the property do not do this house and gardens justice. There were 14 of us staying and it’s the best house we’ve ever stayed in. The kitchen has everything you need to cook and entertain, with an Aga and separate oven. Seating in the house is plentiful and the grounds are stunning. We could easily walk for dinner into Bala as well as stroll down to the lake. The children had a swim in the leisure centre as the lake is a tad cold in May! It’s worth every penny to stay here....

Het overdekte terras biedt de mogelijkheid om vaker buiten te zitten en te genieten van de omgeving. Binnen zag alles er netjes uit en kon je het makkelijk warm maken als je dat wou. In de badkamer is er wel alleen een bad, geen douche. Persoonlijk vond ik dat iets minder fijn en niet zo praktisch, maar dat is maar een kleinigheidje.'
