'What a classic. My room was small but cosy, very nice bed and good amenities.
The overall style is a bit darkish but that's in line with the original design. The lobby is fantastic art deco styled. The absolute highlight of the hotel is the pool. The setting is very Hollywood, the cabins, the restaurants, the service. All ace.'

'The Charlie ranks at the top of the list of places in which we have stayed. I would describe our Dylan suite as cozy luxury. As soon as entered we immediately felt welcomed and at home! All rooms (bath, bedroom, living room and small kitchen) were immaculate. One of my criteria for a top-notch stay is the quality of the bed and bed linens and it passed with flying colors! Although the kitchen is tiny, it contained a stove, dishwasher and full-size fridge in case you wanted to cook.

'Gold Diggers is an absolute gem of a place and I can't wait to come back. The team went out of their way to manage my luggage around my schedule and the room itself was very unique and comfortable. Massive bonus is the incredible bar and recording studio attached to the property. Highly recommend.'

'Valet parking, and parking fees were not disclosed on Expedia. Other than that, great stay. Room was clean and comfortable. Needed more blankets for the pull out bed but we made due. Check in and check out was super easy. Staff was very nice and accommodating. '

'The room was good, although some basic things where missing like a refrigerator and coffee. However the biggest bummer besides the expensive parking was the neighborhood it was located in. Everywhere homeless and very shady people. At night my wife didn't dear to go out cause of this. I'm a smoker myself so i went out regulary just to smoke and stand in front of the hotel where in total 4 times strange folks tried to pull something off. "Ontvangst was zakelijk, niet vriendelijk van receptionist. Bewaker van parkeergarage was wel vriendelijk. Kamers zijn klein en gehorig. 1e dag om de 15 minuten en niet herleidbaar machine geluid. 2 e nacht pratende en ruziemakende mensen aan achterzijde van hotel. Parkeren kost 30 euro per nacht. Hotel ligt op 200 meter van walk of fame"

"Old and in much need of some TLC, but it also has that charm. Crickets and other bugs and all! Just don't get the room next to the breakfast area, the coffee kettles will wake you up at 5 am!
