Agriturismos in Maine

'Kimberly's house was just as advertised. It's an adorable old farmhouse with character. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked: plenty of utensils and dishware, coffee and filters, and she placed crackers and cheese, local blueberry and root beer sodas and a bottle of wine in the refrigerator! Plenty of towels, too, which my wife always likes. Yes, the place can get loud with the road noise, but we closed the bedroom windows at bedtime which made a huge difference. The provided fans...

'There were not explicit check-in or check-out instructions, but the host let us know how to get into the house morning of. The bathroom was very clean!'

'We had a wonderful time at this cottage while on the island for a wedding. The space worked perfectly for two couples with space to be together or separate because of both the indoor living area and screened in porch. And, we loved exploring their library. The cottage is easy walking distance to town for morning coffee at 44 North or a meal at The Ark. And, just about a 10 minute drive from anything else on the island! We appreciated the recommendations left by the hosts for places to visit,...

'Lovely old farm house with lots of character. The attached barn/game room with pool table was particularly enjoyable.'

'The farmhouse was perfect for our family vacation! Plenty of room, and exactly as described and pictured. We had all of the amenities that we needed for a week long stay. Loved the proximity to the lake and the amount of outdoor space for our dogs to run! Owners were very responsive and helpful! We would definitely stay here again!'

'Very nice.'

'We spent the month of July in Blue Hill at the Barn Owl. The pictures do not do justice to the property, exquisite! Walkable to the sweet town of Blue Hill. Spent our days exploring the Blue Hill Peninsula, Desert Island, and Schoodic Peninsula, wonderful coming home to this beautiful property. Host Dennis and Cate are so accommodating and welcoming.'

We were all sweating our butts off the entire time and I was pretty miserable at night even with the ceiling fan. The owner should update the listing to make this explicitly clear or put in window unitsfor the bedroom. I didn’t reach out about this problem bc what can really be done in four days except drop 1k on window...
