'I had not stayed at a location such as this--self-service and fully stocked with everything we needed, and more! Nice to see shared spaces with all sorts of games, along with the thoughtful refreshments.
I'd certainly return when lucky enough to bi in there area--the location was great-easy walk into town.'

'We haven't seen any staff at al! We checked in at 3.30 , not late, but the key was in the mailbox, our room was in another building, no heating ( it was freazing last night) and no extra blancket. Breakfast was not what we expected and again no one was there! We made the decision to go to a Bed and Breakfast because it is so much more personal then a hotel but that is difficult when no one is there or shows up!'

'We loved our stay. The location was perfect - easy walking distance to downtown and just a short walk from the Bar Harbor trail sandbar that is only passable at low tide. The staff were great and the savory and sweet breakfast options were delicious! Plus the water pressure in the shower was fantastic! Would definitely stay again.'

'This was disappointing for the price. We thought the breakfast would be much better and have more variety also. The grout in the shower area had not been cleaned in some time as well as the shower curtain bottom was moldy since there was no plastic liner. I also went looking for someone to give me ice at 10 PM amd there was no one to be found. Not an option to get it yourself. We wanted to open the windows since it was cool but there were no screens.'

'We just got back from Thornhedge Inn and honestly, it might be the best place we’ve ever stayed. Jeff, the innkeeper, made the whole trip. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the area — gave us a leftover Acadia National Park pass, pointed us to the best bars and restaurants in town, and even set us up with a killer food recommendation for our next stop in Portland, Maine (we just got back and it was some of the best food we’ve ever had — that’s how good his instincts are).
