'We arrived after 7 pm and it turned out had reserved the room for Wednesday night instead of Monday night. A person associated with the restaurant which was closed on Monday, helped us. He called in to the staff and checked us into a room. Everything went so smoothly and it could have been last minute looking for a different motel. '

'I would 100% come back to this place. Our suite was absolutely amazing, and very clean. It is spacious, has a very big and cool shower, has great ac and giant tv, plenty of light, has a safe, and the biggest, most comfortable bed I have ever laid on. The pillows aren’t as comfortable as the bed, and the breakfast is very limited, but there is plenty of breakfast/brunch places in walking distance, so it was not a big deal. Also, you may have to pay for parking! But, I 1000% recommend staying...

'Perfecte host! Super aardig en behulpzaam. Gebouw is wat oud maar dat heeft juist zijn charme. Top bed! En fijn dat je nog een drankje van de bar kan doen na een avondje uit. We komen hier graag terug!'

'Super quaint, peaceful, idyllic, historic Inn! Awesome location right in the middle of the Marblehead Historic District. We walked less than 5 min to dinner at The Landing and then to drinks at Maddie’s Sail Loft. Highly recommend! '

'The Silsbee Suite was lovely! Its def just for 1 or 2 ppl even though the kitchen is huge there is only 1 queen bed and a couch. You also habe acess to your own private patio but we were out all day and didnt really utilize that. This property is in walkimg distance to everything you need to get to and see in Salem. It is an old house and you can hear EVERYTHING! Even the other guests if they sneeze or laugh so just be aware of that. I would def stay again '

'Our host was available for all questions and needs, as well as good local information. We enjoyed the fire on a snowy weekend. We hope to return soon to enjoy all of what the property offers. '

'More like a B&B than a hotel, only 5 rooms. Owner Patrick met us at the door, expecting our arrival and was quick to help with bags or with a restaurant recommendation. Stayed in room #1 which was huge, with a very comfortable king size bed. Place is old (1774) so floors are uneven, staircase steep and narrow but bathroom while dated is sufficient and shower is strong with plenty of hot water. Would definitely stay there again. '

'The Ship Inn was an older but has all the necessary amenities. Mary Lou and her staff were very courteous and helpful with information. Will definitely return. '
