The inhouse pub made evenings comfortable,and had free wifi. Due to lack of aircon room temperature was a bit hot (30 degrees Celsius) and fans provided could not cope with it. 'Basic room as expected but very poor lighting, dirty windows, lack of attention to detail (light bulbs filthy and some not working, no evidence of dusting skirtings), general grubbiness, particularly in the bathroom which is long overdue a refit - washbasin cracked, grout dirty, blackmould around shower screen, broken bath panel.'

'From the moment we arrived we instantly appreciated our surroundings. The Manor House is tastefully decorated, clean and very welcoming. The staff were lovely and nothing too much trouble for them. Breakfast was excellent with a good amount of choices. Unfortunately we had only booked in for one night but made the most of the fabulous views and wallowed in the peace and quiet. Absolute heaven. We have made a promise to ourselves to return for a longer stay.'
