'Loved how genuinely hospitable and real this lodging felt! Not to mention the warm and welcoming owner, the spectacular view of Whiteface mountain (so close that I felt that I could reach out and touch it), the majestic music on arrival, and the oodles of personality in every inch of it.......the likes of which is so missing in the cookie-cutter lodgings that we are so accustomed to! It is an experience to stay here and I am grateful for that experience. Can't wait to return. TY, Walter!! ...

'Great breakfast with a fresh fruit salad!
Very nicely refurbished rooms to mid-century style. The beds were a bit too soft for our liking, but still verry comfortable.

'The owner was extremely kind and helpful and he was interested in the countries the guests were from. The room was clean and well-kept, the beds comfortable , the decor rustic and authentic. The breakfast was limited (eg no bagels or bread) but a muffin or muesli-bar and a good cup of coffee from the lobby were enough to get started.'

'Stayed in the resort building and highly recommend. Thanks to Lea (I think?) at the front desk for helping both me and my sister out with our rooms and making both our stays fantastic. Say the lake house rooms though and they are dark and feel dated. I’d definitely stay in the main building. Paddle boards were an excellent amenity. '
