'We stayed at Breakwater in October 2023 with two young families. The apartment is well stocked and worked well for two couples with three kids under 4. Luke was super accomodating and provided us with pack n plays and a high chair, and was also very responsive. 'Immaculately clean, comfortable beds and conveniently located for those who don't want to be in the busy hub of Bar Harbor at night but want the close proximity to everything. Our family enjoyed the trails during the day, Bar Habor and for dinner (Blaze was great when you've reached your seafood limit), and the quiet atmosphere of the VRBO at night while roasting s'mores over the fire. Would definitely recommend.'

'The property owner was wonderful providing info and help as needed. The kitchen was well equipped for those who like to prepare meals. Staying on the "quiet side" of Mt. Desert Island was good for us. We had easy access to Acadia National Park and could drop into the busyness of Bar Harbor when we wanted that experience.'

'Gayle and Rob have been very communicative and gave some great tips already ahead of the trip. Property was very clean and equipped with everything we need (e.g. full kitchen, washer/dryer, heat & cool system, Grill ). Lots of attention to details too (paper towel, Alu foil, olive oil, tabs for dishwasher and washer…). Location is also perfect to reach Bar Harbor and National Park. Big plus was to be able to bring our dog and have ample space to let him run (even though it was not really needed...

'We enjoyed our stay here very much. It was nicer and much larger than expected from the pictures. Everything was clean, comfortable bed, large living room with multiple sofas, well appointed large kitchen and dining area. It is less than a mile from Southwest Harbor and easy access to Acadia. I would definitely stay here for future visits to Acadia area.'

'This wonderful apartment is located on the Quiet Side of Mount Desert Island, which was a big plus for us! As an added bonus, there is a grocery store (and a laundromat) 0.1 mile away. The beds and sofas are comfortable, the kitchen fully stocked with all the bakeware, cookware, crockery, flatware and utensils you will need. The bathroom is tiny, but certainly serviceable. And the owners, Tim and Sian are regularly updating and improving the property. Overall, we had a delightful stay!'
