'My husband and I spent this past weekend at voco the Shelby for my birthday and I was amazed at the atmosphere! We have spent many summers prior when the hotel was Sand Castle, and there is no comparison now. I cannot tell people the last time I spent a night in a hotel bed that was actually COMFORTABLE as my own bed is at home until this trip! 'This place is the best setting!! Right on the beach! We loved watching all the traffic in the evening and enjoyed the music. I was there for work and the noise from the street didn't bother me sleeping. I had two of my grands who live in Charleston come up for a night. We beached it, shopped, ate great seafood, went to a water park and walked the pier!! Would def stay again. The parking was a pain but the garage was really close. '
