'Nice, new guesthouse, very close to the railway station and night market. Friendly host, nice breakfast. We had the room on top of the stairs, with a low ceiling. We could not stand up straight under the shower, which was a little uncomfortable. The bathroom ceiling is even lower than the one in the (windowless) room: we are Dutch ladies, 1.75 cm, and are sure our partners of 1,85 could not have stood up straight in the bathroom! So tall people: make sure not to get 'our' room. Apart from that:...

'Very kind and helpful staff - we really appreciated being able to store our luggage prior to check-in. The room was spacious and clean, and the balcony view was absolutely stunning. Jiufen can be quite busy and loud, so we loved the inn’s quieter location, while still being conveniently walkable to the main bus stop for day trips and hikes.'

'I want to start with I really enjoyed my stay!! I loved the location (outside the busy city but close enough for a short and easy bike ride), the room and the bath! They also accommodated my vegetarianism for breakfast. However, the front desk didn't speak English very well. The breakfast was the same thing everyday (some variety would be nice), and besides the breakfast and free bicycles there wasn't much else to do at the hotel. There was a beautiful yard but no where to sit and enjoy. '
