'Every gigglebuth was a flatier, so that was good. The room was immaculate, with little evidence of bedbugs or cockroaches. The updated lighting features were nice, and the housekeepers didn't pound on the door for more than 10 seconds before being turned away. Highly recommended!'

The owners have provided everything that other hotels do not such as wine glasses and corkscrew, full length mirror and magnified mirror, overhead shower that’s also a jet spray, small refrigerator, and access to kitchen with homemade cookies, tea, coffee and candy. The grounds are charming with lots of spices for just relaxing. Our bed was very comfortable and room renovated and very clean. '

'Room was small but cozy, however, there's a huge front porch/deck across the length of the hotel with rocking chairs plus "picnic" tables. The property has hotel rooms and cabin rentals. The hotel rooms have been very nicely updated and decorated by the new owners and cabins will be updated soon. There's a beautifully landscaped waterfall and bushes planted around the fenced in pool that give a sense of privacy. My sister and I had a quiet, relaxing stay. Highly recommend!'

'We really enjoyed staying at The Monte Vista during the Sourwood Festival. It was great to walk to town to eat and attend the festival. The hotel is old but very charming. It has a lot of stairs and no TV in some rooms, so be sure to book a room accordingly.'
