'Booked this hotel as it looked really good online. Also have been looking for a hotel out of the city centre and close to the Vondel Park, for regular trips to Amsterdam. Broke three ribs prior to travel and so was unable to travel as was finding it difficult to walk. I realise a booked a non-refundable ticket, and requested a change of date. I thought that the hotel would have had a bit of sympathy for my situation. But no, they refused to move the date. This room could easily have been...

'The neighborhood was away from the central area so it was quieter and had access to everything needed. The best part was the gracious kindness and assistance from the hosts when we had lost a wallet and needed to put a hold on credit and bank cards. Hans went above and beyond to help in every possible way. He was also very responsive to assisting with technically challenging appliances and in helping us navigate the transportation. I highly recommend this property and its hosts.'

'The only thing i think you need to know before booking this house is that you are booking someone else’s home. Not vacation home - but home. Nothing felt clean and to say this apartment is central to all sites is crazy. It is walking distance to the museums, a park and the grocery store. When we entered the house was not cleaned. Garbage was left there- and the smell lasted the entire week. The owner and his assistant are lovely. This just wasn’t at all what i expected. '

'After climbing very traditional winding staircases, we were greeted with a bright, homey, comfortable flat with all amenities AND a rooftop terrace! This was just a lovely place in a great location for local colour and easy transit.'
