'Room was impressively clean but the road noise was equally impressive. Wow. Most disappointing was when hotel clerk broke the cardinal rule of announcing our room number out loud to the other person in the small check-in area. Then when we reached the room, the security locking feature on the door did not work. Unacceptable. She did agree to move us to another room. There is absolutely nothing around this place and if you don’t have transportation ordering pizza seems to be the only option. '

'Requested room to be cleaned and freshened up with towels, coffee, drinking glasses. They said they would but did not. Had to go down at 11:00pm to get items. Otherwise it was fine. Btw…we were there for a concert so was charged 1100.00 for a 2 night stay. Regular price around 140.00 per night..'

'The property is old and dated, but expected with the price point. We stayed for a sold out concert. If you just need a place to lay your head, this would be fine. The staff was very friendly and even though the room was dated, it was clean. They even left us a goodie bag of treats (more than what I've received from higher rated places. I felt safe and over all I would stay there again. '

'Not like the pictures. Definitely not worth the price. The carpet was sticky, the chair was full of cigarette burns, the room smelled like smoke. The lights did not have shades or covers on them, the pillows were stained and not in protectors, the mattress protector was stained with clean sheets on top. The sink had been painted, but had since cracked and flaked. The shower did not appear to be cleaned, there was the last people's soap wrapper in the shower curtain rings. The bathroom door...

'Room was clean, staff was very helpful, loved the outdoor fireplace. Was disappointed that several menu items were no longer available, such as the Shiner Bock ice cream. '

'Its a shame this hotel is branded Staybridge. I have seen a lot of Staybridge hotels, and this one is an absoluut dump. Compleet rundown place, would not be a problem if it looks like 1980, but apparently that was the last time it was cleaned. Filty bath, filthy kitchen, no water pressure, AC will kill you. Stayed 2 nights. Because of location, second day no room service. Should have handed them the keys and left first night, but the perfect location to TX tech kept me. '

When we arrived at the Travel Lodge we were told they gave our room to someone else but they had another room that they don’t usually rent out that we could stay in.
