'The lunch menu and food was excellent. It was so good we decided to do dinner. Dinner was not as well done as lunch. I wonder if there was a chef change. The food was freshly prepared. The staff was amazing: friendly, warm. It was a cold cloudy day (Mar 21) so the riverside patio furniture was stowed away. Still a nice place to watch the river. 'Service van de receptie onvriendelijk, er kan geen lach vanaf. Mensen van valet parking zijn wel erg vriendelijk. Hotel is netjes, wel in flink verouderde staat. '

'The Vanderbilt is fabulous! The building is beautiful- the sleeping rooms and the lobby and dining areas. After a day walking down Bellevue Ave, it was great to go to the indoor pool and relax. The gym was clean and had all the necessary equipment. And the staff was welcoming and helpful. It was a great stay!'
