The Penthouse at Villa Amistad is our signature top-floor residence and the most spacious, view-forward apartment in the villa. Occupying the entire third floor, this 3-bedroom, 3-bath retreat combines two of our consistently 5-star-reviewed apartments into one seamless sanctuary with breathtaking Banderas Bay views, two private ocean-facing terraces, and a level of space and privacy rarely found this close to Puerto Vallarta's best dining, beaches, and nightlife.

Set within a boutique hillside villa just a short walk from the Malecón and the Romantic Zone, the Penthouse offers top-floor seclusion with effortless access to everything the city has to offer.

The Space:

The Penthouse is designed for seamless indoor/outdoor living, with floor-to-ceiling glass doors that frame stunning views of Banderas Bay and fill the home with natural light and ocean breezes. Mornings begin with coffee overlooking the water. Evenings bring stunning sunsets, and from December through March, whale sightings right from your terrace.

Parking and drop-offs

Guests may pull up to the villa entrance to unload luggage. Parking is not available in the alley, but free street parking is available on nearby adjacent streets.



The Neighborhood:

The Penthouse is located in El Cerro/Centro, Puerto Vallarta's original hillside neighborhood, within easy walking distance of the city's best dining, beaches, art galleries, and nightlife.

- 5-minute walk to the Malecón

- 10 to 20 minutes on foot to beaches, restaurants, and the Romantic Zone

- Quiet, residential setting with all the action close by



Getting Around:

The Romantic Zone, Centro, and 5 de Diciembre neighborhoods are all within comfortable walking distance, with most destinations reachable in 5 to 25 minutes on foot. The hill to the villa is moderate. Uber and taxis are plentiful and very affordable throughout Puerto Vallarta. Local buses run along the main roads below for 10 pesos (exact change required).



Other Things to Note:

FAMILIES

Families with children are welcome, but please note the villa is not childproof. There is an unfenced pool, open stairs, low railings, and breakable artwork and pottery. No children's furniture or toys are provided. We encourage parents to reach out before booking to make sure the villa is the right fit.

PLEASE NOTE

- Stairs: 17 steps to the villa entrance, then one flight up to the main level. From there, cross to the upper terrace and take one more flight up. Each level has comfortable spots to pause and enjoy the views. Staff can assist with luggage when available.

- Weekly stays: 10% discount automatically applied

- Damage Waiver: $35 USD (covers accidental damage up to $500)

-- Security Deposit: $25 credit card authorization hold (not a charge) placed 24–48 hours before check-in for card validation purposes. Any damages or outstanding balances will be charged to the card on file per the Guest Stay Agreement. Hold is automatically released after checkout.
