'Nice staff, but not so easy to get to it. First thing first. We drove to this hotel in Atami City. However this place was up on the hill, and tough to find and reached for foreigners like us. If you plan to go there by train, you may need to call a uber, otherwise you might have a very hard time to get there… Other than that, the place is a little old, and smelly. Our kids didn’t like it much. On the other hand, the owner/staff was very friendly! Also telling us to reach to them anytime (24/7)...

'The overall vibe of the hotel is kind of lived in and quiet. It definitely needs a little update here and there while still being able to preserve the aesthetic of Japan culture and touches. There was only one other guest staying but for some reason it showed as completely booked out. Unfortunately, the showers and onsen has select opening times so you couldn't shower either in the morning or evening, it was one of those times and can't remember but that was slightly inconvenient. 'I am sorry I can’t give good recommendation for this property, the cleanliness of the room was terrible causing me to have rashes on my skin due to allergic reaction. The air conditioner wasn’t working properly, luckily the weather was just nice outside so we keep our windows open for the night. The con is that the location is great, just a few minutes walk to the lake, plus there is a 7-11 right in front of the hostel. '
