'Mallory Court is a beautiful hotel with excellent service. Our room in the Orchard Wing was spacious, clean and well equipped. It was lovely to have a breakfast buffet as well as the option of a cooked breakfast. The only part of our stay we were not happy with is that the restaurant only serves either a tasting menu or set a la carte menu both of which are expensive. Lovely for a one off but not for the five nights that we were staying. There is an Asian restaurant but neither of us...

'Fair for the price in my opinion. The carpets and curtains have seen better days, but everything was properly clean, ignoring permanent stains/damage to the carpet etc. The walls are thin so you're at the mercy of your neighbours when it comes to noise. The included breakfast is good and the staff is very friendly.'

'Contracted property earlier in the afternoon to request a early check-in as weather was bad, left a message but no-one got back to me. Eventually braved the rain and went to the property, no reply when I rang the bell. Looked on-line for possible other contact number to see that the property was closed. As the town was busy that weekend there was no affordable places for me and my daughter to stay so the only option we had was to head to train station and buy tickets to return to Newcastle. This...

'Nice property, great location, spotlessly clean, well kitted out. Very friendly owner very flexible with meeting up and very welcoming. Only downside is the main bed is a sofa bed, very bouncy, and not very comfortable, so not a great night's sleep, but we are middle aged with dodgy backs'

'Outside courtyard was not swept or clean. With rubbish in the corner which was a shame as couldn't sit out. Also work next door was very loud all day yesterdayUnfortunately we have a 4week old baby we couldn't settled yesterday due to banging from building works. '
