'Fair for the price in my opinion. The carpets and curtains have seen better days, but everything was properly clean, ignoring permanent stains/damage to the carpet etc. The walls are thin so you're at the mercy of your neighbours when it comes to noise. The included breakfast is good and the staff is very friendly.'

'Contracted property earlier in the afternoon to request a early check-in as weather was bad, left a message but no-one got back to me. Eventually braved the rain and went to the property, no reply when I rang the bell. Looked on-line for possible other contact number to see that the property was closed. As the town was busy that weekend there was no affordable places for me and my daughter to stay so the only option we had was to head to train station and buy tickets to return to Newcastle. This...

'We stayed here for the weekend of26th June , what a gem of a place to find . Room was lovely , staff were very chatty and nothing was too much trouble , food excellent . Although not in the normal hot spot stays , this pub is in a quiet location but not far from anywhere . Highly recommend a stay here at this pub'
