'This is a gem. We stayed on a Sunday evening having had a long day in Birmingham (40 mins north). It was quiet but beautiful and the staff were lovely. The main building is i assume an old stately home and our room was in ond of a few new wings. The room itself was spacious and spotless. We had a grest night's sleep and in the morning the shower was great. Breakfast was also plentiful and delicious. To top it off it was incredible value.'

'Beautiful inn. Kind, friendly staff who took excellent care of us and attended to all of our needs. Outstanding restaurant, elegant with truly gourmet menu. This is one of the very best hotels that I have ever stayed at. Absolutely top.'

'Fair for the price in my opinion. The carpets and curtains have seen better days, but everything was properly clean, ignoring permanent stains/damage to the carpet etc. The walls are thin so you're at the mercy of your neighbours when it comes to noise. The included breakfast is good and the staff is very friendly.'

'Superb establishment with staff that goes out of the way for you to be comfortable. Really nice converted property, really clean and tidy. Bed was a little uncomfortable but all in all, excellent stay. Really simple well cooked breakfast with good quality ingredients. These guys have put time and effort into the simple things executed very well! Highly recommended! Who ever cooks in the kitchen, everything seared and cooked to perfection. Top quality fresh berries, they’ve spent money on...

'After an initial issue in gaining access as code for door entry hadn't been activated and the emergency number didn't extend for assistance after 5.0pm, arriving at 8.30pm we would have been stumped without getting help from a neighbour opposite who thankfully had the owners personal number which on contacting the door access code was set within 15minutes. Our stay was very good after this initial hiccup and we would stay at the property again. '
