'I've never cried when I left a hotel because the stay was so wonderful. Why do people love Japan, specifically Hokkaido, and Moiwa most of all? Because of the people. The kindness and love of Manager Shiina, the amazing and fantastic Chef Ishii, Chef & resident Francophile Mrs. Keiko, Nagajima, and Thai speaker Saiparn are what guests remember. When I was young, I worked at a family hotel in Aspen (Snowmass) and the guests that returned so wanted to see a friendly face from years prior. ...

'I have always known this particular hotel very well since my teens, and have always stayed here with my family during most of our overseas trips to Hokkaido for the past decade or so. Now, I've conquered it and stayed here alone. The room was comfortable and was just the way I remembered it, especially the surroundings of the entrance hall. The staff were very hospitable and one of them went as far as assisting me with my baggage to the cab when I checked out. Waking up to the views of the Sea...

'Great onsen experience! Lady's hot spring has outdoor area, Men's side does not, but have a great harbor & canal view. We heard that the breakfast there is great, and it is true! The only drawback is that there are only two laundary machines.'

We loved our experience so much in 2022 that we invited another family along and they stayed in two 1-Bedroom apartments. It was great to see Selena and Novita again this year, it was also meet new staff in Natasha, Olivia and many other friendly and helpful faces. They did everything in their power to assist. '
