'When we first walked in we noticed how clean and amazing it smelled! The house was beautiful and the host had clear instructions to use all appliances and for check out. We will definitely stay again!'

'We had a great time! The house was very comfortable and had all of the supplies that we needed. The porch was so nice and the hot tub was awesome! This area is within 30 mins of a lot different places: Linville Falls, blowing rock, banner elk, and Boone.'

'This cabin is just gorgeous. The setting over the pond is beautiful and it was great to sit outside with a book, a glass of wine and enjoy the cool air. The Fun Room was a lot of fun. I would recommend staying here to anyone that enjoys slowing down and cooling off for a bit. The kitchen was well appointed, but if you enjoy cooking, you may want to bring a couple of your own pans. Enjoy!'

'Great area and reasonable price. Would come back here again.'

'It was a nice experience staying there, the only thing was that we ran out of hot water.'

'The host overturned our pet fee because she liked our cleanup. She even offered to defer it for future stays. That's awesome.'

'Great location, very clean. Comfortable bed. Lovely place to stay!'

'Wonderful 1848 cabin with log walls and wood floors, a little crooked but remember when it was built. Everything updated inside in kitchen, bathrooms and comfortable furniture. Lots of dishes, pots/ pans etc for cooking. We spent our early mornings and evenings on the swing on the screened in porch and enjoying visits with the deer and rabbits. The location was great for everything and every place we wanted to visit. Great trout pond for fishing in walking distance of the cabin. They will clean...

'Everything was clean and ready for us. Was a cold week but still nice and warm with the gas logs. Kitchen was supplied with utensils and cooking equipment. Enjoyed our stay. We will be back. '

'We had a great time on our girls weekend trip to Banner Elk. The cabin was spacious, welcoming and clean. Unfortunately we did have issues with the hot tub. The control panel was not functioning so no jets. We notified the host who was quick to respond and have maintenance get it working but with it being the weekend everyone was off. It didn’t ruin our trip we still had a great time. We will definitely be back '

'Several items unsafe- sliding glass door lock broken, receptacle plate missing; wires hanging; post on railing on 2nd floor deck missing (our golden retriever could fit through - no question dangerous) Outside could use some TLC; inside was nice.'

'Renting from this host has been a 100 percent positive experience for me! The home fit all our needs, as well as being quiet and well outfitted, the hot tub was a plus on many evenings. This was my first long term rental and I was pleasantly surprised at how well it was managed by our host. He was quick to respond to questions, moved quickly on a small repair that was necessary, and generally made us feel welcome. Would definitely rent again! Barbara'

'The property was unkempt, very dirty. There were 2 window units for a 3 story 5 bedroom unit which in no way is adequate. The hot tub had not been serviced in a while. There was “ gunk” and debris clinging to the filter. Grill grate was broken, the other had chunks of old food on it. Silverware drawer was full of crumbs ( we assumed that’s is what it was) carpets were filthy. There were several fans in the house, but they were covered in dust. The odor was that of mildew and mold. It was a bad...

'This five bedroom, two-story house is great for large families or groups. Kitchens are well-stocked, although if there are specific spices or oils you prefer, bring those or buy them at two local grocery stores. The hosts are terrific, as are the neighbors. Be prepared to drive up a private gravel road that was rutted by rains when we were there. It's manageable. Know that the house is not handicap accessible, though it's not advertised as such. We had a marvelous time in the area. Lots to do....

'Hidden Gem is amazing. We stayed for 4 days to enjoy the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games. The house was perfect for a mix of adults and young children. Super clear and easy booking, communication, check-in and check-out. We already have ideas on coming back. Highly recommend.'

'What a great property! Directions were on point. We booked for a girls" trip for four of us and we each had our separate spaces to decompress and be in the moment of this lovely place. Each bedroom was an en-suite, had separate WFH areas if needed also. Very clean and beds were so comfy ! Decor was beautiful. Easy drives to Boone, Blowing Rock and Banner Elk. Communication with the host was great. Looking to book again here !'

'Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful, cozy, clean cabin! We had a wonderful weekend.'
