'Such a lovely place and the staff were kind and generous. The common area is has everything you need to feel like you have your own personal space but also allows you to socialize as you want. Bicycle rentals were very convenient. Private rooms have plenty of space for luggage, even with the tatami mats'

'I did not hear any train sounds at all. Super quiet and clean. Everything is within a few minutes walking distance. Room is small for US standard but is typical for Japanese this type of hotels. Bed was very comfortable. The bathroom is designed well with a nice size deep tub. '

'The lake and mountain views were worth the price alone. The Ryokan itself is very beautiful and traditional, the tatami and sliding paper doors made it feel like we had gone back in time. The onsen is nice and note that it is for separate male and female, so if you want to share the experience with family or partner you may not be able to. The restaurant was great with good service and meal options. The staff were so attentive and looked after us well. Small criticism was the room had a few...

'The ryokan was spotless, staff very friendly and helpful, delicious breakfast, quiet location, peaceful environment, convenient to public transportation, saw no tourists in this area and the price was right.'

'The room was ok on size. Comforter had stains and the carpet was visibly stained as well. Dust seen on the locks and throughout the room showed that cleanliness was not top priority. The perk of having a more up to date bathroom was nice and the best feature about the stay. A/C unit was loud and needs to be updated.'
