'I paid £26 for the night, and felt like I overpaid. Advertisement pictures are false. Maybe that room looked like this, once. Not any more. Stains on the walls, stank of cigarettes. Bed looked like it's been slept in already. No towels provided. There was a kettle and some tea in the room, but no cups to make it in. Shared toilet and bathroom, dirty, no soap, no shampoo. Tried to raise issues with the property, but there was no answer on the phone number provided, and no reply via messages on...

'Stayed at Darwin House and the experience was pretty poor. The room I originally booked was already being used by another guest, with her belongings everywhere, so I was moved to Room 1. The phone number provided for help wasn't even in service at the time. The property itself is filthy - the room was just about liveable for one night, but I didn't feel comfortable sleeping in the sheets. It feels more like a bedsit or HMO than proper guest accommodation. The rooms smell strongly of mould and...

'Erg leuk weekend gehad in southampton. Prima guest house . Goed gelegen dicht bij het centrum en het trein station. Aardige eigenaresse , goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding . Alleen matras was waardeloos'

'Horrible room, dirt and grime everywhere. Sticky floor. Bed clearly just remade after previous guests or squatters, black hairs and pubes. Bed cushion had ominous stains! Slept fully clothed! No WiFi code despite being the selling point and even requesting it. Was told to let them know if arriving after 9pm or they couldn’t help with anything, which I did, but no response to wifi question! Weird selection of a couple of old forks, bowls, mug and the kettle didn’t work and smelled like someone...

'First of all, there was no staff or anyone to welcome you. We reserved a room with a private bath, and when we arrived we had been assigned a different room with no private bathroom. The shared bathroom available was filthy and the linoleum was coming off the floor. The bedroom was dirty as well and the beds were like cots, horrible mattresses. We tried to reach property owner with no avail. They never responded to any of our inquiries. Within 15 mins, we booked a room at local hotel and left...

'Fa schifo'

'it was horrible, it should be closed.'

'The room was dilapidated the beds were falling apart shower didn't work sink was dirty toilet didn't work it was more like a half way house for the homeless'

'I couldn't take my shower during my stay because there was no cold water at the shower and the hot water was extremely hot. In addition to that the people were making noise even in the mid night not allowing me to have a good sleep'
