'Our family stayed for a week at this amazing secluded property. We have stayed at many rentals up and down the Eastern Shore as well as the Outer Banks and this was the cleanest house we have ever stayed in. The location was quiet and peaceful and the dock and screened in porch were where we spent most of our time. The screened in porch was a great spot to relax, eat meals, and play board games. 'We truly enjoyed our stay at the Captains Cottage. The house is very comfortable and we had everything we needed. The coffee shop, restaurants, and the Fisherman’s Museum were within walking distance. The nearby towns of Heathsville, Kilmarnock, And Irvington or just a few minutes away. 'Property was amazing. My oldest took advatage of having his own place with the separate house. Everything you needed was there, just bring your food. Kitchen had everything needed, the "smoke shack" was great, rather you were smoking or grilling food or cooking up breakfast on the blackstone! Two kayaks and one inflatable were awesome to have! Firepit (just bring somenwood) and grabpots provided were a plus. Decor of the home was great and very private area plus having your own little beach area...

'A wonderful location on the water with great views. Within a very easy and short drive to either Reedville. Kilmarnock, Irvington, White stone etc. Small tip if you plan on eating meals at the house, may be best to plan ahead and bring groceries with you. That was our plan and it really worked out. '

'This place was perfect for our family vacation. It was so secluded! The views were amazing, the pool was perfect, and the house was clean and exactly as described. Lori was so sweet and was available for any questions! There are tons of games and outside things to do and we caught plenty of fish and crabs off the dock.
