'Visually the place makes a very good impact. Dinner, the food was excellent as were the staff. Breakfast … we’d booked it at check in. We turned up to breakfast and there was nothing booked , the service at breakfast was okay , we did have to case up something. But overall we had a very good stay and would return.'

'We had a lovely stay at The Ship Inn. The room was really clean, bright and comfortable and plenty of space to relax in. Nice to have good quality coffee and tea facilities in the room and reasonably priced items on offer in room if you wanted it. Loved the roomy shower in the bathroom. 'This was our second stay here and again we really enjoyed it. Great location and most of all great staff!! One thing I will say is that Expedia advertise that ALL rooms have air conditioning when in fact they dont. Will definitely stay again'

'This B&B provides everything you could wish for. Comfortable en-suite rooms and an excellent breakfast. Everything is provided in the rooms despite Expedia stating that in some of the rooms bed linen and towels are not provided. - this is clearly NOT true, as everything we could hope for was there. The owners clearly work hard at providing a very high standard B&B, and succeed. A lovely stay.'

'I booked late in the day but staff were very welcoming on check in. Clean, warm and comfy room. Great pub attached and Excellent breakfast. Location is ideal right at the top of a busy high street but noise wasn't an issue during the stay.'

'We had a great time at Rectory Manor, a lovely old georgian country house set in mature garden of trees and lawn with a swimming pool and tennis court if you want some exercise. Our room (the Hudson) was furnished in the country house style and was supremely comfortable. The only downside was the bathroom was a bit small and slightly dated. The bath was too small to properly soak. On the plus side we had an unexpected balcony that caught the morning sun whilst giving beautiful country views...
