'I always stay at the Lockkeeper when I'm up visiting family. It's clean, comfortable with plenty of parking and excellent wi-fi (I worked from the hotel one day, including video calls). The staff are always welcoming and friendly and I often eat at the pub when I stay. It would be good to have an ashtray by the hotel, the only ashtrays are currently in front of the pub.'

'Nice, clean room. Comfortable bed, safety as a lone female traveller. Lots of seating indoor and out, and plenty of food dining options. Overall excellent.'

'Rooms were clean and beds comfy. Perfect for a stopover and pleased with separate proper beds for the kids. We had dinner in the restaurant in the evening. The service was excellent. The waitress went above and beyond to accommodate our large group sorting us out with our own area and even sorting us out with another meal when a member of the group ordered the wrong meal. Great restaurant and rooms in a brilliant location just a few minutes from the beach .'

'The rooms are very comfortable, interestingly decorated, and well equipped with plug outlets, etc. Only negative is that meal service ends at 8pm in the restaurant, and road traffic can be a bit loud (if you are sensitive).'

'Booked this hotel for an event in Manchester. Great location in a quiet part and stunning surroundings. The Belmore is a beautiful building. Arrived with a smooth check in. Directed to our room. We stayed in a family suite; clean and well presented with attractive decor. Beautiful big bathroom, the main part of the room had twin beds and a sofa and tv. And another separate double bedroom. 'The place itself was lovely a little dated in the bedrooms but so clean, short walk to the shambles, food at the hotel was fantastic excellent price, can recommend the Eggs Benedict for breakfast, outside lovely seating area right by the river and last but not least staff are so welcoming very attentive 5 star service will be going back again '

'Meerdere keren in dit hotel verbleven , goed eten, echter minstens 6 haren in bed, maar 1 stel handdoeken , en geen vloermat. Na doorgeven kregen we een andere kamer. Die bleek niet schoongemaakt. Volgende kamer, was schoon en goed. Kan gebeuren, maar het personeel geeft je het gevoe alsof het je eigen schuld is. Dat kan niet. Volgende ochtend weer een chagrijnige dame bij het ontbijt.
